NORTH ATLANTIC & WILD-CAUGHT
FROM SUSTAINABLE FISHING

Our collagen is extracted from the skin from the great Arctic cod, which is captured off the coast of Northern Norway. It has lived freely in the icy, crystal clear and nutritious ocean - far from aquaculture, GMO-feed, antibiotics and hormones. This makes it one of the world's finest ingredients.

For generations, the Norwegians have caught their precious fish with respect for the sea and for the stock. Today Norway has the largest and most sustainable cod stock in the world. We get our marine collagen from Seagarden, a Norwegian producer located on Karmøy in southwestern Norway. Together we create a value from something that is usually of no use. It is our contribution to more sustainable use of raw materials.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in our skin. Up to 80 percent of the skin consists of collagen. The majority are type I collagen.

A NATURAL PART OF YOU

THE COLLAGEN IN OUR BODIES

Collagen is a natural protein, which is found in cartilage, tendons, muscles, bones, hair, skin and nails. The protein is also called the 'body´s glue' because it is the whole foundation for the body to be connected. There are many different types of collagen, depending on the different connective tissue of the body. Up to 80 percent of the skin consists of collagen and the majority are type I collagen, which helps to bind moisture and hold the skin firm and elastic.

The body's production of collagen is already falling from our mid-20s. We may find that the skin becomes drier and loses its elasticity. We feel it in our joints and muscles and we get wrinkles and fine lines. A healthy lifestyle and a supplement of collagen can help maintain better collagen production and thus increase the skin's moisture and resilience.

SKIN RULES

HOW TO SUPPORT
YOUR NATURAL PRODUCTION
OF COLLAGEN

It is not only the age that plays a role in the body's own collagen production. Also stress, smoking, alcohol, the sun exposure, autoimmune diseases, high sugar intake and nutrient-poor diet can adversely affect the collagen level in the body.

By eating healthy and varied, keeping in shape, using sunscreen and minimizing the consumption of alcohol and tobacco, you give the body the best conditions for maintaining healthy skin, strong nails and full hair.

It is also important to get the essential amino acids that the body needs to produce collagen. The body does not form these amino acids itself, so they must be supplied through the diet in the form of dairy products, eggs, meat, fish and beans. You can also take a collagen supplement that is rich in essential amino acids.

Read on here and learn about the many good reasons to take our collagen.

Kate, 33 years

"The pictures speak for themselves! Even after just 3 weeks I can see an improvement in my skin's structure. I have alternately used COLLAGEN GOLD in my coffee (you can't taste it at all!) and COLLAGEN YELLOW BLAST - either in smoothies, juice or a glass of water. This variant has a nice light taste of sea buckthorn. I am so happy with the products. They have come to stay in my daily routines, also because it is so super easy! "

Isabella, 30 years

“After starting to use collagen powder, I can clearly see and feel the difference on my skin. The fine lines in the forehead and around the eyes are significantly smaller. The structure of my skin has become softer, both in the face and on the body. "

Rikke, 32 years

“Vild Nord has had a huge effect on my skin and especially on the lines in my forehead. I'm so glad I took one before- and after pictures, since I can really see the difference here. "

Katrine, 46 years

“Lovely skin is the most obvious result I got from marine collagen from Vild Nord. But the most important thing is that my body feels so satisfied. I have tried several variants and can recommend them all. ”

Hydrolyzed peptides

ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS

Our marine collagen contains all the 20 amino acids, including the 9 essentials which cannot be formed in the body, but must be consumed through the diet.

Our marine collagen is a pure natural product that is hydrolyzed to break down the protein into small collagen peptides. The peptides have a molecular weight of 3 kDa - the smaller the peptides, the better the absorption in the body. When the peptides are absorbed into the body, they break down into amino acids, which the body uses to produce collagen.

BEAUTY FROM THE PRISTINE OCEAN

COD WITHOUT HEAVY METALS

In Denmark and Norway, where Vild Nord products are produced, we are subject to European food legislation and thus also the limit values for cadmium, mercury and lead in fish products.

We have chosen cod as a source of our collagen as it is not a larger predatory fish in which heavy metals accumulate. The large North Atlantic cod has also lived freely in the pure, pristine Barents Sea. The collagen is analyzed via third parties, so we are absolutely sure that the product does not exceed the limit values.
