A delicious delight for both young and old

Chocolate pine cones with coco pops

These delightful chocolate pine cones strike the perfect balance between a healthy snack and a little treat, thanks to the addition of Coco Pops. The base consists of dates, cocoa, nuts, and marine collagen. The mixture is shaped into the sweetest pine cones with the addition of Coco Pops. And guess what? Not only are they delicious and flavourful, but they also make for a fun recipe and a delightful dessert for the kids.

This is what you need

About 14 large dates
70 grams of walnuts
2-4 tbsp Collagen Gold
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbsp coconut oil or other oil. Optionally, melted butter if you don't have oil
Coco pops
Glaze for decoration

Procedure

Blend dates, walnuts, cocoa, collagen powder, and oil in a food processor or a sturdy blender. Blend until you achieve a sticky consistency. Transfer the mixture to a deep bowl, place it in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to make it easier to work with.

Now, let the fun begin! Shape the mixture into balls using your hands. An ice cream scoop or a tablespoon works wonders for this. Place the formed balls on parchment paper or a clean tray – you'll get around 6 small balls or a few less if you opt for larger ones. Remember, these are packed with flavor, so feel free to go with the smaller ones.

Once your balls are ready, have your Coco Pops in a bowl and start creating the magic - shape the balls into cones, starting from the top and working your way down. Store them in the refrigerator and enjoy within a week – although with their irresistible sweetness, it shouldn't be a challenge to eat them quickly, especially with the little ones around!
